Week 18 was hosted by Kentucky Speedway for the Quaker State 400.  The newly paved surface and low downforce package provided plenty of action with slip sliding cars, wrecks and lots of passing.  In the end Brad Keselowski won the race.  Lkfitz picked the winning team and earned her first win of the 2016 fantasy season.  She has finished close several times but was able to seal the deal with 182 points this week.  Runner up was Michael W with 172 points.  Pete G rounded out the top three with 169 points.

The week 17 Coke Zero 400 was hosted at Daytona International Speedway.  Izzy G led the last lap and got her second win of the season.  Izzy has come on strong since joining the BigDawgzGaming fantasy league.  The rookie has been picking like a veteran each week.  Congrats on the win Izzy.  Big Mac finds himself in the top three tying with Jeff B for second place.  I ended up tying with Jack for third.  Two ties in the same week.  Crazy.  What else would you expect at Daytona?

I apologize that I have not reported on the Fantasy NASCAR standings for a while.  So here comes a slew of updates to get us current.  Week 16 found us at Sonoma.  It used to be where teams brought in ringers for the road courses but not any more.  It seems the NASCAR regulars outperform the road course experts consistently.  It appears NASCAR drivers can turn right as well as left.  In the end Tony Stewart was able to out break Denny Hamlin in the last turn for the win.  In our league Lisa F was looking in the rear view entering the final turn allowing me to pass her for the win.  Corey C was only a point away in third place.

The new lower down force package at Michigan allowed for faster straight away speeds but slower turning speeds.  This combination created passing opportunities and racing all throughout the field.  Just like in NASCAR a young gun won our fantasy league this week.

Way to go Dad... I mean Donald H lol!  Feast or famine lately for ya.  Ayden has another week staying in the top 3.  Impressive!  Kirt P with another strong showing with a third place finish.  I was not around to watch the race this week but it sounds like it was a good one.  Off to Michigan wOOt!
